Welcome to the NJ Inferno. Our program is legendary in the fastpitch world. The Inferno has placed girls at every major college in the country. We have had players in the SEC, ACC, Big 10, and Big 12, to name a few.
We play only in the best showcase tournaments on the East Coast which include Pennsbury, Team NJ, New Englands Finest, Atlanta Legacy, D9, and IDT Colorado. Not only are we in these tournaments, but we play on the right fields.
Our training is second to none. We train year-round and are fully committed to improving our players. Our coaching staff is made up of past college players and college coaches of the sport.
We are committed to helping our athletes play in college.
The NJ Inferno was established in 2001 by Don Meister. His daughters, Kristin and Nicole, were players on the original team. The goal of the team was to find a college fit for all players looking to play at the next level. The team has a reputation for playing in the best tournaments across the country. Due to his large network, trust, and rapport with college coaches, Don became the college liaison and passed the coaching duties on to daughter Kristin and son Donald. The NJ Inferno is proud to say that we have placed numerous players in many of the best conferences nationwide, with two former players becoming DI National Champions (Alabama and Florida State) and one DI First-Team All-American pitcher. Many of our former players have gone on to receive full or almost full athletic scholarships.
The mission of the NJ Inferno Softball Organization is to give our players the opportunity to develop their softball skills in a positive environment. NJ Inferno players share a passion to play softball throughout the year. The NJ Inferno organization has our team enter tournaments and showcases that challenge players to strive to improve to the next level. We are committed to develop players with good work ethics who demonstrate good sportsmanship on and off the field. We are dedicated to providing our players with a well-rounded experience where a player is given the opportunity to not only develop their athletic skills, but also learn real life skills such as confidence, leadership, and team dynamics, all while building friendships. "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller
